We know that you’re probably all familiar with Disneyland, and while we love Disneyland, there are lots of other local attractions near Yorba Linda and Placentia, too. Many places are family-friendly and offer all the amenities that you need when traveling with your family. Here are some of our best day trips.
K1 Speed is a wonderful little indoor go-kart racing place in Anaheim. The go-karts can reach speeds of up to 45 mph, which seems pretty fast when you’re indoors on a small track. It’s really fun to race with your friends and your family! There’s a small snack bar, and they have specials on some days, but you might want to call ahead to see.
Knott’s Berry Farm and Knott’s Soak City are both a short car ride away. Both are family-friendly amusement parks with lots of rides and things to do for the whole family. There are live shows as well as rides and quieter places for smaller, shyer kids, too. Knott’s Soak City is not as well known, but your kids will love the focus on fun with water. The bigger kids seem to enjoy it, too.
One of our favorite spots is Ted Craig Regional Park in Fullerton. There are lots of things to do, including hiking trails, basketball, and many places for walking with a stroller if you have little kids. There is a small fee for parking, but you can park outside the park to avoid even that.
